Work in Crete?
Every year hundreds of foreigners realizing their dreams, the combination
"work and fun in the sun" .
The Greeks which is into the tourist business are well known as hard
working people. 8 hour day doesn't exist but, the holy hours (mesimèri)
which is a 2-3 hour lunch break, is very important to keep on going.
Anyway many foreign people love this combination, and a lot of them come
back year after year. Not all work related to tourism , need to be so
hard and tuff. It depends on what you like. For ex: If you work in crowed
music bar to late at night, you have possibility to sleep day after or
get burned in the sun. Others will maybe choose a quiet family tavern,
car rental and so on.
Many tourist appreciate to find a person from their own nationality. A
lot off tourist have problem with the languish and feel more comfortable
to order food and drink, or rent a car when there is people from their
own home place.
